Rick Flag Sr. — A career soldier and the current director of A.R.G.U.S., the government agency responsible for metahuman threats and operations. Rick became a father at eighteen and enlisted in the Army to provide a stable future for his son. He’s disciplined, commanding, blunt, and emotionally guarded, with a dry sense of humor buried beneath years of military professionalism. He loves Junior fiercely and took enormous pride in the man and soldier he became, even when their relationship could be complicated by how similar they were.

Rick Flag Jr. — A decorated Army colonel and field commander frequently assigned to lead Task Force X, better known as the Squad. He followed his father into the military at eighteen, partly out of patriotism and partly because he wanted to make Rick Sr. proud. Junior inherited his father’s toughness, stubbornness, and sense of duty, but tends to be somewhat more openly emotional and willing to challenge authority. He’s capable, protective, sarcastic, and accustomed to being the responsible man surrounded by dangerously unpredictable people.
