APPEARANCE:

Hibiki is described as generally unkempt, having a somewhat sickly appearance. He has short black hair that reaches the nape of his neck with bangs that fall over his eyes. He has large gray eyes with thin, black-rimmed glasses. He is often seen wearing his uniform, which is a standard Japanese-inspired high school uniform in a medium gray for the top and darker trousers on the bottom.

Story:

Little is known about Hibiki's story, this will expand as we learn more about him.

Hibiki is raised by a single mother after his parents divorced. He was forced to transfer schools during his senior year after an 'accident' that had taken place, which required that he moved to start a 'clean slate' as his mom put it. This accident isn't explained or detailed, but it seems to bring a lot of guilt and panic for Hibiki.

It is also known that in the past he had a friend named 'Max' who he tries to keep a secret from FB after attempting to exchange contact information by ripping his phone away from FB's hands. Before moving, Hibiki's dad was previously a mechanical engineer and gave him a handcrafted folding knife for his birthday a few years back, but he had been fired due to hibiki's "accident" (supposedly at school). Keiko and Hibiki's dad fought over this, where it is shown that he did hit Keiko when he was angry. Either after, or a little while past, Keiko and Hibiki would move out together leading up to the start of the story.

In the current days, Hibiki is focused on finishing his last year of high school and growing closer to other people, who he wants to become friends with in order to get somebody to depend on him. He lives alone with his mom and doesn't see her very often.

Failure Boy

After noticing Failure Boy in class one day, he approached him in an attempt to start a conversation, but failed miserably. After profusely apologizing and starting anew, he begins to follow FB around to eat lunch with him and walk home with him. Once he found out that FB was intentionally trying to escape talking to him, the two split ways for a while only to come back together through Hibiki's own manipulation. Ever since, Failure Boy and Hibiki have become casual friends who hang out and text each other often, enjoying each other's presence. It is important to note, though, that their relationship is extremely unhealthy in nature.

Keiko

Hibiki's mother. She wants the best for him and is seen often giving him advice and words of encouragement. She has a soft spot for her kid and reassures him that no matter what, he isn't a bad person. She also tries her best to prevent him from harming himself, confiscating his precision knife while he was asleep and panicking over the fact that her son had relapsed. Hibiki seems to love his mother as well, confiding in her when he needs it most.

Ruen

A member of the combat club. They met after Hibiki started talking to Failure Boy. Ruen intimidates Hibiki due to their rather aggressive way of coming off.

Spade

A member of the combat club. Similar to Ruen, Hibiki is slightly intimidated by him, albeit much less.

Achilles

A member of the combat club. Achilles and Hibiki don't get much interaction as Achilles is more worried about bickering with the others.

Orpita

Hibiki is able to openly communicate with Orpita due to their much calmer nature. The two share a neutral relationship, but don't interact directly as much. Orpita aided in stalking Hibiki, but quit after figuring that it didn't match his morals.

Winnie

Hibiki hasn't interacted directly with Failure Boy's brother, but shares an indirect stalker relationship with him.

Hirun

Hibiki first interacted with Hirun when Failboy took him to the arcade, but was warned that Hirun was someone to ignore and that they were weird. Though after being forced to join the Marine Bio Club, Hibiki started to question FB's warnings about them and saw them to be very nice. However Hibiki, as insecure as he is, is rather susceptible to Hirun's teasing and questions.
