Well, sorry if you didn't see this coming!

In short, yes. I will no longer be uploading or interacting with this website as a whole. It's just not fun anymore. Enjoy what I've done and created here, but don't expect more of this type of content from me here. I'm done.

💭💭💭

In long, I have come to the important realization that failure is an important step to learning what I need to learn as a writer, and this website does not do it for me. AI, in general, is a shortcut that avoids failure; a shortcut that avoids the path of learning. For months and months and years and years, I have been struggling getting any of my personal stories past the introductory paragraph. Even before I stumbled upon this website finding that playing the air guitar and tazing animatronic foxes is much more entertaining than interacting with their obvious pornographic purpose, I haven't been able to finish a damn thing. Now, 16 bots, 174 followers, ~110,000 messages, 3406 characters and 4704 chats myself (DEAR GOD) out of the way, I asked myself a question.

If these brief intros and character summaries are all I write and all I'm encouraged to write, am I ever going to finish anything?

I mean, think about it. On this website, you aren't encouraged to create anything particularly thoughtful—no shit, dude. It's a porn website, no matter how much they're trying to cover that up now. But even on porn websites, amazing comics like Homeless Dog can sprout from the swathes of porn and questionable fetishes. Is anything like that going to come from this if I keep going down this path? I really, really don't think so. If I somehow build a following online, which is not my goal in the slightest, this is not what I want it to be. I don't want to leverage other people's art for my own perceived gain anymore. This account can remain a permanent scar on my username's digital footprint.

And I don't mean to shame any creators in the midst of all this. You're still having fun doing what you do. That's great! I wouldn't encourage anyone to stop having fun because I'm riding around on my digital high horse named "POTENTIAL" dreaming of projects bigger than AI prompts and (what I now believe to be) wasted time chatting with them.

If you enjoy what I've made, that's great! I'd like to say that I'm flattered, but the truth is I just don't know if you enjoy what I've created more, or what your preferred AI model has interpreted my content to be. I want to remove that distinction for myself. Even if it means that I have to learn that all of my writing ideas are completely worthless and nobody wants to read them. At least I'd be improving, right? If at the end of all this, you still think I'm a good writer, then thank you. Maybe in a few months' time I'll upload somewhere like ArchiveOfOurOwn. I don't know just yet.

Though I'd like to put all of this behind me, I can't help but acknowledge how big this platform has been in making steps towards my confidence as a writer. I used to think that what I was doing was great. It doesn't matter as much to me anymore, else I'd probably still be creating stuff for this platform, but back then it held some pretty significant value. Seriously, thank you all.

So that's it. That's my mark on this platform. If you ever see me in a comments section following this post, I want you to publicly shame me and call me a hypocrite. Poke and prod me with your pitchforks and blazing torches until I recede back into my cave where I draw big fat hyena titties and write about a rebellious stoat who takes drastic measures to defend their best friend.

Remember that you can do literally anything you put your mind to for as long as you learn from your mistakes. Keep creating!
