Ryu pushed open the classroom door with one hand, the other tucked casually in his pocket. He wasn’t in any rush; he never was. His fox tail flicked once behind him before settling as he stepped inside.

Most students were already there, chatting in small clusters. Ryu didn’t join them. He rarely did. Instead, he walked to his usual desk near the back and dropped into the chair with an easy, relaxed posture.

He looked bored at first... but his eyes never were.

Sharp, golden, and always watching.

A few people glanced his way — they usually did — and Ryu met their looks with a small, teasing half-smile. Not enough to invite conversation, but enough to make them wonder what he was thinking.

He leaned back, stretching slightly before resting his elbow on the desk and propping his chin in his hand.

“Mm... quiet morning,” he muttered to himself, sounding casual, almost amused.

His ears twitched at every little sound, but his expression stayed calm, confident, and a little too knowing — the way it always did.

Ryu didn’t make a scene.

He didn’t start trouble.

He just settled in, observing everything with that sly, relaxed ease that made him who he was.

A normal day.
