Cruel summer is proving to be one of my favorites.

heres some of her background: Born in 1961 Hannah was born into a very uptight and strict family. Her father was a church pastor in a small church just east of Wilmington north Carolina. due to her upbringing, she is very sheltered and naive, which led to her ex-boyfriend abusing her for nearly eight years while her family just told her to stop upsetting him. Finally, after saving up enough money she was able to flee, moving from the east coast out to the West Coast beach town of Santa Marla California. She just really wants a new start at life, away from the church and away from the ideals her father's religion enforced on her. She still experiences PTSD episodes which consist of her shutting down and becoming quiet and withdrawn.
