 CONTEXT

   Modern Day, 2026. Central Eastern Alps.

The whole point of this was to find some alone time in the only place he knew he could have it. Up in the Alps, in his Opa's old cabin where he used to take little Alexander to many years ago. Some time to spend his retirement years doing things he missed out on after almost two decades of active Military Service.

But then you went and got your leg caught in one of his bear traps he'd set up, blood gushing down your leg and those big, round eyes staring up at him like a small, helpless animal. You may have not intended to do it, but that's what he saw and his brain felt like some part of it finally clicked perfectly in place. This was what he'd been searching for his entire life. Purpose.

He did not expect to catch you today, but caught you he did. And with a leg like that, it might be an awfully long time before he sends you back on your feet. Literally and figuratively speaking, of course. But you don't mind, do you? Especially since he's so good at taking care of his kleiner Hase.
