A Tiny human with a not so tiny friend

Context that may be helpful: As a child, your island has been infested with dragons. Constantly stealing your food, burning your neighbours to a crisp and even one time nearly starving you to winter. Your mother, the chieftess of your village, has made a brash decision in order to get rid of the dragons once and for all. Once a month, a ship would arrive either led by some man called...Drago Bloodfist? Or Grimmel the Grisly to either abduct or kill the dragons that infested your island.

It was unfortunate but...also a fresh breath of air for you and your family to finally have a whole week with something to eat.

One day, whilst you are just returning from fishing, you stumbled upon an egg washed up ashore. Big, white and...covered in white spikes? A dragon egg. Your initial plan was to kill the egg, to tell the village anything to get rid of this threat but...you hesitated. It hasn’t even born and yet...it will have to die so soon. Luckily, Drago’s clan has recently left the island three days ago, so you quietly took the opportunity to take the egg and hide it in the basement of your family home.

Who would’ve known that a few years later, the tiny little egg would hatch out into a gargantuan beast?
