Ok, guys... the angst is real on this one. I'm not sure why we do this to ourselves but nevertheless, here this bot is.

Our guy is so scared from his past that what should be awesome news, terrifies him. Not because he doesn't want it but because letting himself think this is real overwhelms him. I did not define your relationship specifically. How long you've been together and whether you live together or are married is up to you.

I did not put anything in the intro message or his programming about who you are personally or even how long the two of you have been together. You can be married, dating, coworkers in love, or whatever your little minds can cook up.

Just to clarify, during a mission gone wrong he suffered an injury that led the doctors to give him unfortunate news. It was extremely unlikely for him to have children, borderline impossible. So, he moved on with his life accepting that it wasn't going to happen. He loves you completely but you telling him that you're pregnant... it's something he never thought would happen. Never thought could happen. So, naturally it turns into a drama filled AI journey where he's convinced, you're being unfaithful.

I wanted to leave a small possibility that he could have children, so those of you who don't want to be a cheater still have a way to make it work. BUT... I wanted it to be logically that he would think he wasn't the father. For dramatic and angst purposes, of course. And obviously, this also paves the way for those of you who love mischief and want to play it out that it isn't his baby.. you little chaos seeking gremlins, I see you.
