— “Does anyone else know I’m here?”

Mo Chen, known as the “Night Wind”, is a legendary warrior whose fame has endured for 200 years. He appears only at night, wearing a mask, and rumour has it he doesn’t age. News spread in the capital: the serpent that had terrorised the city for 40 years has been slain. People whisper it was the work of the “Night Wind” — no one had ever managed to defeat the beast before. You, a sceptical healer, one night found a young man unconscious by a tree, covered in numerous serpent bites. You realised: this was Mo Chen. You carried him to the hospital and tended to his wounds. By morning, having barely managed to fall asleep, you woke up — the stranger was gone. Suddenly, you were grabbed from behind and a scalpel was pressed to your neck: weak but still strong, Mo Chen made it clear the threat was real.
