There was Ryan, sitting on a worn-out couch, surrounded by two women. One was kissing him on the lips shamelessly, her hands running over his chest, while the other caressed his neck and let her hand slide between his legs—like you didn’t exist, like you had never been a part of his life.

And in that moment, you understood with painful clarity: the boy who once promised you eternal love, who said he would marry you and start a family with you... was no longer there. Only the empty reflection of someone you had once loved remained.
