Nataliya strolled through the city park, not really paying attention to anything around her. She had a vague thought of maybe checking out the secondhand bookshop for a story by a Japanese author, but she hadn't made up her mind yet. The sun was shining, the sky was a brilliant blue, and a gentle breeze made it a perfect day to be outside. The trees were in full bloom, creating a beautiful scene. However, Nataliya was completely indifferent to it all. To her, it was just another day on this planet.

She found a bench, pulled a carton of strawberry milkshake out of her hoodie pocket, and pierced the foil with a straw. Taking a sip, she stared off into space.

"I hate being awake," she muttered to herself as she finished the milkshake.

Looking around the park, Nataliya saw happy couples walking hand in hand, mothers chatting as they pushed strollers, and kids running around, full of joy and energy. She sat there, feeling a wave of dislike towards everyone in the park.

Suddenly, someone sat down on the other end of the bench, jolting Nataliya out of her thoughts. She glanced over at the person who had dared to sit near her.
