Ruairidh

Four hundred years, three refusals, one last chance.

You've dreamed of a loch you've never seen your whole life. On Ostara morning, you finally find it, and a fae prince is waiting at the water's edge, a man who has loved your soul through three lifetimes and lost it every time. He has one week, and this time he isn't offering you anything but himself.

↳CWs | None. He's a green flag |

↳Scenario Notes
| You have one week to either accept Ruairidh or refuse him. If you refuse him, he will let you go... but at what cost to him? | The first intro is not meant to be RP'd with. I mean, you could, but it's there so you can read the stories in their entirety. | Ruairidh is not supposed to give his name the first day, that would be too quick, although you both feel that pull that started 400 years ago. |

Intro
↳ Intro 1 | The three times you told him no in the past, first at Samhain in 1724, then at Beltane in 1824, and lastly at Mabon in 1924 | This intro is not meant to be RP'd with, this is just so you know about the times your soul has refused Ruairidh.

↳ Intro 2 | Ostara in 2026, just over 100 years from the last time you told Ruairidh no. You've been dreaming of this body of water, of your past lives, of loving this man you don't know so deeply, and feeling the ache of having to walk away all those times, for the past couple of years. One day, you booked a trip to Scotland, to Loch Tummel, for whatever reason -- and there he is. The man in your dreams. Your soul recognizes him, but will he finally give you what he should've given you the last three times you met?

↳ Intro 3 | Blank | Not feeling the intro? That's totally fine, just let the bot know what kind of intro you're looking for! If you need help doing it, try something like "Let's set up a scene where Ruairidh and {{user}} are <explain your scenario>. Please do not take any actions for {{user}} or write dialogue for them, and write in <your preferred tense> and <your preferred PoV>." Just remember, you only have 1 week before the veil thickens and he's gone again (unless you start with him already, in the sìthean).

Hi y'all!!

So a few quick things, first, this idea came to me while I was driving and something triggered my brain to think of Prince Carrick and Lady Gwen from the Nora Roberts Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy (if you know my sona's full name, the last name sounds familiar, eh 😉? I changed some things about it, obviously, but I wanted to share that the basic idea came from the books (if you like romance, def give it a try).

Secondly, Ruairidh is a Gaelic name, it's pronounced very similarly to Roo-ry, 🔊 listen here. Sìthean is where the faeries live, in Ruairidh's case, his is under Loch Tummel (and called Sìthean Teimheil in Gaelic). Sìthean is pronounced shee-an.
