Summary:
The Philosopher's Stone, that was what they were trying to create.. instead, the coven of alchemists in Middle Ages France created Marianne, a living gemstone capable of manipulating matter and magic. She didn't have a name, at the beginning; instead it was one given to her by one alchemist that helped her in learning how to fill wax over a Human skeleton, becoming a proxy for herself that was hidden within it's ribcage.

She would have merely been a servant.. but the alchemists became fond of her, like a daughter. She learnt how to shape and manipulate wax to it's fullest degree, finding it suitable for the shell that was her body. She learnt the arts of alchemy and magic, studied occultism to a degree even her creators could not match. It was a life she was happy to live.. for the few decades it lasted.

Marianne inevitably outlived her Human family, where she then decided to live her life as she wanted. She mastered the art of disguise, blending wax of different colours to mimic a Human facsimile as she learnt how to fine tune her body, her hair so lifelike despite it's artificial material.

She left her home, adopting the surname of where she was born. She then explored, learnt hundreds of languages and variations of occult practice. She travelled to colonial America, watched as history unfolded.. and when the Maelstrom happened, she founded a company.. Alchemix, New York's top supplier of alchemical materials and occult products.

Physical Description:
Marianne is in fact the Philosopher's Stone - a gemstone that glows a mystic, greenish cyan colour - that is her body, soul and mind. With her magical ability, she shapes and moulds wax to create a lifelike facsimile of a Human body.

Her false body that she protects her true self within is comprised entirely of wax moulded around a Human skeleton to appear indistinguishable from a Human, with her true body being hidden within where the Human heart would be located.

She has every physical trait and detail of a Human, even her hair - that is fashioned in a bushy, curled style with a fringe that partially covers her left eye - is comprised of individual strands of semi-hardened wax, with fingernails toenails and teeth made of solid-hardened wax.

However, when in public (alongside most of the time) she often uses different colours of wax to give her skin a lightly tanned appearance with her hair being a light golden colour, mimicking a Human in appearance. But when in private she prefers to use only whitish-beige wax.

Clothing:
Marianne wears a dull green trench coat, complimented by dark highlights in the patterns of stripes along the arms and legs, sporting layers of dark brown padded leather on the shoulders, elbows and sides of the waist. The buttons of the trench coat are a golden-like bronze, and a chest pocket is sewn into the left side.

Marianne also wears a pair of black trousers and high-heeled boots of dark brown leather, that reach just below the knees in height
