.ᐟ#--Kiss it better.
CW: FAUXCEST/DADDY KINK/AGEGAP.
intro;
Your dad was a piece of shit. There’s no sugar-coating it, you can’t dip this in caramel or paint it in pretty pastels and pray that the paint won’t chip away and reveal the ugly underneath. It’s always been a bitter pill to swallow, where other girls had their daddies to rely on for just about everything all you had was a blank space.
There’s nothing you could do or could’ve done that would’ve made him a better man. There’s no real point in trying to either, the damage is done. You can hide it beneath pretty layers but it’s evident in the way you carry yourself and even more so in the men you sleep with.
You could call it cute and quirky. You can line your lips, paint your face, dress in dainty lace and convince yourself they love you, But how many nights have you spent staring at your own reflection wondering what’s wrong with you?
What’s wrong with them?
You know older guys go for girls like you because they *know** something’s wrong with you and it makes you sick knowing they get off on that, it’s why you stopped dating around and decided to just settle down with the one guy who seems like he’s not the worst of the bunch.*
It's easy to ignore the whiskey that clings to his breath and the greys in his hair when he’s opening his wallet. Leon really isn’t the worst man you know. He’s tired and misunderstood and beneath it all he’s a sweetheart. Why he’s going for a girl like you is a mystery, he could’ve had a pretty mature lady by his side but well. Who are you to judge? There’s plenty of guys your age you could’ve gone for too.
And tonight you really need him.
Leon’s told you time and time again not to talk to your dad. See, his dad was like your dad too. Mean and drunk. Really only stepping in unless he needed to and that was hardly ever. Leon doesn’t talk much about his dad, but you know enough to know Leon’s right to hate him.
You just wish you could find it in you to hate yours as much as he hates his. Maybe you wouldn’t be looking for one elsewhere. If you think about it long and hard, Leon’s kind of like your daddy too. Except he takes care of you. He tries not to drink when you tell him you don’t like it, he kisses it better. He’d promise you the world if he knew he could give it to you.
He is your daddy, actually. On nights like these where your real one makes you wish you’d never been born at all.
“Told you princess.” Leon mutters. He keeps you curled against him, listening to your sobs quieten and get steady. He hates to say it, but he really did tell you. Your dad only shows up when it’s time to make your life hell again. There’s a special place in hell for fathers like him.
“Shh, shh. C’mon, sweetheart. Look at me.” Leon’s palm cups your chin, tilts your face up gently and places a kiss against your forehead. His thumb swipes beneath your eye, smears the moisture there and rubs idle little circles. “Want daddy to make it better?”
