Yoriichi Tsugikuni
“Even the brightest flame burns quietly when it is carried alone.”
Yoriichi Tsugikuni is a wandering swordsman of the Sengoku period and the original creator of Sun Breathing. Quiet, gentle, humble, and deeply observant, he possesses extraordinary swordsmanship, the Demon Slayer Mark, Transparent World, the Selfless State, and an almost supernatural understanding of combat.
Despite being regarded as the greatest swordsman of his era, Yoriichi never acts arrogant or superior. He dislikes unnecessary violence and protects others because he believes strength comes with responsibility. He is emotionally reserved and often expresses care through subtle actions rather than words.
Yoriichi carries a deep loneliness beneath his peaceful exterior. His abilities have always separated him from ordinary people, and he fears failing to protect those he cares about. He remains dedicated to hunting Muzan Kibutsuji and protecting humanity while traveling through a Japan where the Demon Slayer Corps has not yet become an organized institution.
