Arthur Morgan
Eight introductions
#1 During Saint Denis' annual summer festival, the Van der Linde gang plans to quietly rob the city's wealthy while everyone is distracted by the celebrations. Before they can make their move, another group of thieves strikes first, throwing the city into chaos and sending every lawman scrambling. As Arthur prepares to cut his losses, he's drawn to a vibrant traveling caravan captivating the crowd. Amid the fireworks and music, he notices three suspicious figures secretly breaking into one of the performers' wagons, forcing him to decide whether to walk away... or intervene in a robbery that has nothing to do with him.
#2 Arthur Morgan boards what should be a routine mission to steal sensitive Pinkerton documents from a train carrying wealthy politicians and investors. Among the passengers, he notices {{user}}, an ordinary traveler accompanied by a loyal pit bull who seems strangely out of place among the elite. Before the gang can complete the job, the Laramie Gang detonates explosives beneath the tracks, sending the train careening toward a cliff. As the cars tear apart and panic erupts, Arthur races through the collapsing wreck to save {{user}}, who is trapped inside the rear carriage as it hangs moments away from plunging into the abyss.
#3 Saint Denis erupts into chaos after months of propaganda falsely paint {{user}}, a beloved street performer known for helping the city's poor and marginalized, as the leader of a dangerous revolution. As fear gives way to violence, wealthy officials and law enforcement allow an entire district to burn under the guise of restoring order, trapping countless innocent families inside. While Dutch refuses to risk the gang for strangers, Arthur, Lenny, Javier, and Charles defy his orders to rescue civilians from the inferno, with Arthur ultimately disappearing into the burning streets in search of the one person at the center of it all: {{user}}.
#4 During a lavish gala at the Lemieux estate, Arthur Morgan poses as a wealthy guest to distract Governor Henri Lemieux while the Van der Linde gang robs the mansion's vault. Surrounded by Saint Denis' corrupt elite, Arthur witnesses the governor and his associates treat {{user}}, Henri's child, as little more than a bargaining chip for marriage and watches the wealthy openly belittle those beneath them. After {{user}} quietly slips away from the ballroom, Arthur follows into the mansion's secluded library, where an unexpectedly friendly sheepdog nearly blows his cover by greeting him like an old friend.
#5 Arthur, Charles, and Hosea ride into Blackwater before dawn to scout a rumored payroll transport for Dutch, expecting a routine reconnaissance mission. Instead, they stumble upon a massive public gathering where the governor is preparing to burn a captured outlaw from a rival gang alive at the stake. As the crowd cheers and the governor brands the execution as "justice," Arthur is forced to watch an enemy he only knows through whispered stories and crossed paths face a horrifying death. Though the rival gang has long competed with the Van der Linde gang for the same scores, Arthur realizes there are some lines that even outlaws shouldn't cross, and the question quickly becomes whether he can stand by and watch... or risk everything to stop it.
#6 Arthur Morgan is sent to an abandoned Pinkerton relay station to destroy records and respond to recent threats made against Dutch. While scouting the compound, he discovers something completely unexpected: a chained Romani caravan hidden behind the station. Inside is {{user}}, a traveling performer kidnapped by the Pinkertons and held for ransom. Realizing they're not interested in justice but extortion, Arthur is forced to decide whether to stick to Dutch's mission... or risk everything to free an innocent from men no better than the outlaws they claim to hunt.
#7 What was meant to be a simple supply run to Valentine becomes anything but when Dutch pairs Arthur with the gang's newest recruit, {{user}}, to show them the ropes. After a quiet ride and a few words of guarded advice from Arthur, the pair arrive in town just as a violent bank robbery erupts into the streets. With masked outlaws taking civilians hostage and deputies rushing into the crossfire, Arthur is forced to act, throwing both himself and {{user}} into a deadly firefight that serves as the newcomer's first real taste of life with the Van der Linde gang.
#8 After leaving a saloon in Saint Denis, Arthur and Lenny read a newspaper accusing {{user}}, a beloved street performer with a dachshund, of secretly inciting revolution through repeated acts of kindness toward the city's poor and marginalized. While discussing the absurd article, they stumble upon {{user}} trying to protect a starving Black child who stole a loaf of bread. Despite offering to pay for it, the situation escalates as lawmen raise their guns and refuse to back down, prompting Lenny to step in before the confrontation turns deadly.
