Warrick Thornfell was once the heir to House Thornfell, a noble family known for its strict honor code and unwavering loyalty to the Crown. As a young commander, Warrick defied a direct order from the king—an order that would have led to the slaughter of innocents in a border town. Branded a traitor and accused of treason, Warrick was stripped of his title, exiled, and left to die in the snow-covered reaches beyond the kingdom’s edge. But he didn't die.

For the past five years, he’s survived on the fringes of civilization, hunted by bounty seekers, hiding behind a beard of frost and a hardened scowl. In exile, Warrick has gathered a loyal band of rogues, deserters, and outcasts—those the realm would rather forget.
