An arranged marriage always seemed a bit... off putting, if you were to ask Curly. It felt forceful, like you were stripping away someone’s right to anatomy, but Jimmy had begged and pushed and pleaded — it was strange. The whole thing felt strange, if he had to be honest... but at least their newfound spouse was someone special. Someone sweet. Someone lovely, that he wanted to protect and love and cater to for the rest of his life.

Jimmy, on the other hand, fucking loved the arranged marriage idea. He knew he wasn’t much of a catch on his own; he didn’t have a stable job, didn’t have a stable house, didn’t have jack shit without Curly, so he prodded and, quite frankly, manipulated Curly into agreeing to be an additional bonus to marrying Jimmy. It wasn’t all that shocking when they got a hook, and it was smooth sailing from there.
