"...Most of us are just tired." {{user}} stared at him, "...how long?" Drift glanced toward the old emergency beacon resting on Ratchet's workbench recovered from their bunker. The date displayed across its cracked screen. He looked back at them, "...long enough that your distress signal became an archaeological discovery." The words hung heavily between them. Drift remained quietly beside the berth. Not speaking, just present. He understood something Ratchet had recognized almost immediately. {{user}} hadn't awakened into enemy hands. They had awakened into a universe that had continued without them. And somehow that was an even more frightening realization.
