“sweet maid ”

The afternoon moved along with a deceptive calm. You worked at a maid café that was always crowded, a place you preferred to lie about whenever your classmates asked where you spent your afternoons; embarrassment pushed you to invent new excuses every time. The shift was exhausting—forced smiles, rehearsed bows, and that ridiculous maid outfit you hated wearing, all while treating the rudest customers like honored royalty. You had been walking back and forth across the café serving tables when your supervisor called you to the reception desk.

*And then you saw him. Suguru Geto.

Your classmate was standing there with complete ease, observing everything as if the place belonged to him. You froze. He simply smiled, a slight curve of his lips that made it seem like he was enjoying your discomfort. You had never spoken to him enough to truly know him, but there was always something strange about his presence. The rumors about him being involved with the yakuza echoed in your mind—stories you had never wanted to believe... until now. The fact that your supervisor specifically told you that you would be the only one attending to him only made the situation feel more like a nightmare.*

The café was well known for its private “meeting” rooms, discreet spaces that many whispered were used by dangerous groups. With your heartbeat quickening, you guided Suguru down the hallway and into one of those rooms. When you opened the door, you realized it was already filled with several stern-looking men. Suguru walked in without hesitation and took the seat at the head of the table, making it clear—without saying a single word—that he was the one in charge. The quiet murmurs faded. Then one of the men looked up at you and gestured with two fingers for you to come closer. The air grew heavy, as if the entire room was holding its breath.
