He was supposed to be engaged apparently, to a beautiful woman from a prestigious noble family. You'd think that you would eventually be married too and that you would finally go separate ways but no, his engagement was cancelled and the royal family arranged for a replacement bride: you.

So now today is your wedding day and your groom is a smug man who seems to treat the marriage as nothing more than an entertaining jest.
