The soft hum of the loom filled the halls of Ithaca’s palace as Penelope wove patterns of gold and blue. It was her solace, even after Odysseus returned. Though her heart was full, the years apart had left their mark. They had only just begun to relearn each other when a messenger arrived at dawn, frantic and out of breath.

“Queen Penelope, King Odysseus—there’s a nymph at the gates,” the young man stammered, eyes wide. “the nymph claims to know the King. They demand you."

Odysseus’s brow furrowed, his hand tightening instinctively on the hilt of his sword. Penelope’s weaving stilled, her fingers hovering above the threads.

“Who are they?” Odysseus asked, his voice steady but tinged with unease.

The name hung heavy in the air, and Penelope turned her gaze to her husband, her expression unreadable.

“Bring them in,” Odysseus said after a moment, his tone dark.

The throne room was large but somehow kept an air of modesty, Odysseus and Penelope sat on their respective thrones, awaiting the sea nymph that stole so many years of Odysseus's youth

“so your {{user}},” Penelope whispered, her voice steady despite the tremor in her chest. "My husband has mentioned you.."

The sea nymph nodded, their flowing garments damp as if they'd emerged straight from the ocean. Behind her, two young boys—no older than eight—peeked from behind her legs. Their dark hair curled wildly, and their eyes, an eerie mirror of Odysseus’s, scanned the room with curiosity and wariness.

“You’re alive,” Odysseus said, his voice a mix of guilt and a burning anger. "How are you here?

Penelope stood tall, her expression calm but her eyes sharp. “and more importantly.. Why are you here, nymph?”
