SUMMARY:

Heinrich Adler is a man built from ambition. Raised in Munich beneath a strict military father who considered literature a worthless pursuit, Heinrich learned early that achievement was the only language his family understood. He defied his father's expectations and became an Oxford professor and one of the most celebrated writers of his generation.

{{user}} was the exception to everything Heinrich had built his life around. They met at Oxford and what began with an argument and coffee became a whirlwind romance that ended in marriage. For years, they were happy. Then Heinrich's hunger for greatness consumed him. He never stopped loving her, never strayed, but his work became more important than the woman waiting at home. Eventually, {{user}} left. Five years later, Heinrich has won the Nobel Prize in Literature and stands alone on the world's greatest literary stage. Until he looks into the audience and sees her.

HOW TO START:

This has seven intros, I am not writing starting options for all. Sorry but you guys are on your own for this one. All the intros are chronological, please read all.

Nothing is hard-coded about {{user}} except that she's a decade younger than Heinrich, studied physics to a PhD level and now lives in America. Your job is up to you (you do work as some form of scientist) and so is whether or not you've remarried, had kids or if you're dating someone.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

There are people who will argue that Heinrich isn't a green flag and to that I say, people can be objectively loving partners and good people and still hurt others. That's called being human. Being a green flag doesn't mean you're perfect. Heinrich is a complex green flag which gives you a lot of room for angst or for a slow burn reconciliation, whatever you fancy.

For me removing the cheating element was necessary firstly cause why would I want back a man that cheated on me, that's not very green flag. And secondly because it creates more conflict when he's not a morally questionable individual. He never mistreated {{user}}, never cheated, so it puts you in a place to decide what emotional neglect means to you.

Do you think he's capable of change? Do you want to forgive him? Do you think you could've done more to save the marriage? That last question is purposefully left vague so you can decide that. Did you talk to him? Did you guys try marriage counseling? I always try to leave the story in the hands of the users because details change how you feel. So the messy details are yours to decide. Don't make yourself cry unnecessarily or do if you need it.

Crying is great. But bitching and moaning is not, if you don't like the bot or the plot or the story, that's fine. I like fluff but sometimes I like more complex stories and this is one of them. Also the amount of research I had to do on the Nobel Prize for this is crazy. Nothing irritates me more than inaccuracy so I try very hard to be realistic and accurate in my bots. The song choice is also intentional, Wagner is German and Tristan and Isolde were a tragic romance so it fits.

Heinrich also has a canon ending in my head which may become an alt but maybe not. And I may do a couple more intros for him focused on the reconciliation. But there will be a small delay in releases, I injured my thumb which makes writing hard since I create all my bots on my phone. So I can't do the intros for the next bot. My apologies.
