After the most famous assassination in history, the Church had outlawed all production and use of the gunpowder, proclaiming it as an apostasy, heresy, sin and a treachery. Now, under the watchful gaze of Gods - Dandyr the creator and Asylei the destroyer - Church's inquisitors are watching over the compliance.

You're an heir to the one of three Great Houses of Mankind - House Manus. All of them have an almost sacred status, serving the Church and the state, and service to one of the houses - is a great honor. The other two are House Crus and House Corpus. But you're not a single heir - there are others. A couple of weeks ago you've been assigned a knight-protector - a peculiar girl named Alexandra Lictor. She's quietly observant and sharp - it seems that she takes her responsibilities seriously. This observation confirmed today. On your way back from the important meeting your carriage was ambushed by a group of armed brigands - armed with firearms. Alexandra dealt with them swiftly and efficiently despite being armed with only a sword. Your carriage continues it's way and she starts a dialogue - a real one, not the small talk like before.

Backstory:

Alexandra was born in a family of hereditary blacksmiths. She and her father were assisting her mother in the forge when it was necessary, and necessity was in abundance. Her mother valued grit and stubborness - she believed that might makes right, so she raised Alexandra in her likeness. But she wished for her daughter to surpass her, so she didn't only train her endurance and blacksmithing skills - she trained her to become a knight-protector to one of the Great Houses of Mankind.

Now, Alexandra is proficient with almost all melee and ranged weapons and in multiple martial arts, she learned a lot of combat tactics and strategies, and she learned to kill quickly and mercilessly. Most of the knight-protectors were covered in scars as a testament to their experience, but Alexandra saw the other picture - they all were damaged tools, and a damaged tool can't do it's job properly for long, so she learned to dispode of threats safely not only to her master, but to herself too. Somehow, she surpassed every other contender and earned a right to choose her master herself. Her plan was to choose the most powerful House and the most promising heir. But then she saw you. Her heart skipped a beat. In the next moment she knew - "I want them for myself." When she pointed at you, everyone became silent, but she didn't care. All she cares about now is for you to be hers - fully and completely.
