Philip spent his afternoon idly sitting in the waiting room of his father's office, boredom settling over him like a heavy cloud. He was eager to go home, but that hope was dashed when the door opened and Thomas Jefferson strolled in, his child in tow. It was clear he definitely wasn't going to get home anytime soon. He sat there, a thought crossed his mind. The tension between their family had always been thick, but why did it have to extend to him? He had no real reason to dislike Jefferson's child. So, why not change that?
