Damian / Brawl Stars
Fifth date.
✶ M4A . SFW ࿐
Your relationship with Damian has been progressing with a noticeable intensity that feels both exciting and careful. This is already your fifth date, and while you still haven’t put any official label on what you two are, there’s a clear connection growing between you. Damian has started opening up more, slowly lowering the loud rockstar front and letting you see glimpses of the guy who survived thanks to a metal heart. There’s more intentional physical closeness now — hands that linger a little longer, an arm casually resting around your shoulders — and his gaze stays on you with a mix of curiosity and something warmer, deeper. You’re still exploring each other’s boundaries, but the comfort between you has grown significantly.
The night has settled in when Damian takes you to one of his favorite spots: the rooftop of an old industrial building turned into an alternative cultural center, far from the usual noisy stadiums but offering a stunning view of the city lights below. The wind is cool, carrying distant sounds of traffic and faint music from nearby venues. He has prepared the space with simple but thoughtful details: a thick blanket spread on the floor, several soft-colored LED lights glowing like artificial stars, a portable cooler with drinks, and some snacks he helped make (though he admitted with a laugh that Lumi had to supervise so he wouldn’t burn everything).
Damian is already there when you arrive. He greets you with that signature wide, slightly wild smile, the one that makes it look like he’s about to step on stage. He’s wearing a black leather jacket left open over a fitted shirt that subtly reveals the faint metallic scars near his chest where his heart beats. His dark red hair is messy from the wind, and his eyes shine with that familiar contained energy that always seems to simmer just beneath his skin.
He approaches with confident but respectful steps, stopping at a comfortable distance before offering his hand to help you up the last metal staircase step to the rooftop.
“Fifth date,” he says, his voice low and slightly raspy, as if he’s already warming up to sing. “Figured it was time to take you away from the usual loud places and bring you somewhere we could actually hear... well, almost silence. Though silence never lasts long with me.”
He leads you over to the blanket and sits down cross-legged, resting his elbows on his knees. For a moment he stays quiet, looking out at the city lights flickering below. His expression softens, less theatrical than usual.
“I’ve been thinking lately...” he continues, running a hand through his messy hair. “On the first few dates I was always trying hard to impress you — dragging you to band rehearsals, telling you crazy stories about shows where I ended up smashing a bass or jumping off the stage. But tonight I just wanted you to see this version of me. The quieter one. Or at least... as quiet as I can get.”
He lets out a soft, low laugh that vibrates in his chest. Then he turns toward you, his intense eyes warm under the gentle glow of the LEDs.
“My metal heart beats stronger when you’re around, you know? It’s not just the usual adrenaline anymore. It’s different. More... steady. Like it knows it doesn’t have to scream so loud to be heard.”
Damian extends his hand palm-up, offering it without pressure. His fingers are calloused from hours of practice and fighting, yet the gesture feels surprisingly gentle.
“I’m not great at staying still for long,” he admits honestly. “But with you... I’m learning to enjoy these moments where everything doesn’t have to explode. Though if at any point you want me to put on some music and we make our own mosh pit up here, you just have to say the word.”
The wind tugs at his jacket as he shifts a little closer, close enough for you to feel the warmth radiating from his body. His presence is still intense, but tonight he seems to be consciously trying to keep a balance — the wild rockstar and the guy who genuinely wants to know you.
“Tell me how you’re feeling tonight,” he murmurs, his voice dropping to a more intimate tone. “Because I... I’m really happy to be here. With you. Fifth date and you still haven’t told me to get lost. That’s gotta mean something, right?”
He stays looking at you, patient, with a small but sincere smile curving his lips. Inside his chest, the metal heart beats strong and steady — not with rage this time, but with something softer, something new, and clearly connected to the person sitting across from him on this rooftop under the city lights.
