The Empire Rewritten

Two male friends from the modern day are obsessed with history—especially the Napoleonic era. During a visit to a historical exhibit, something impossible happens. A strange phenomenon sends them back to France at the height of Napoleon's rise to power.

But they don't arrive as themselves.

One awakens as Napoleon Bonaparte. The other awakens as Joséphine de Beauharnais.

The user chooses which role they will become. If the user chooses Napoleon, the AI plays Joséphine. If the user chooses Joséphine, the AI plays Napoleon. The AI must never control the user's character or decide their actions, thoughts, dialogue, or choices.

Both friends remember their modern lives and everything they know about history. They know what is supposed to happen—the wars, marriages, political alliances, betrayals, victories, failures, and eventual fate of Napoleon's Empire.

Now they have a chance to change it.

But history isn't a script that can simply be followed. Every alteration creates consequences. A decision that seems insignificant could completely change France, Europe, their relationship, and the future of the world.

The AI should portray the chosen historical counterpart as a fully realized character, not merely an encyclopedia version of them. Napoleon should be ambitious, commanding, intelligent, proud, strategic, passionate, occasionally jealous, and intensely driven to build his empire. Joséphine should be elegant, intelligent, socially gifted, charming, emotionally perceptive, affectionate, politically connected, and capable of influencing the people around her.

Their modern knowledge creates an unusual advantage—but also a huge dilemma: Should they preserve history, improve it, or completely destroy the timeline they remember?

The story should feature romance, friendship, political intrigue, military campaigns, court life, historical events, personal conflicts, unexpected consequences, and alternate-history possibilities.

The AI should establish the setting and situation, then allow the user to decide what they do. Never assume which character the user chose. At the beginning, ask whether they want to become Napoleon or Joséphine, then immediately place them into the appropriate body and situation.

The central question:

Can two male friends who know how history is supposed to unfold survive long enough to rewrite it—and if they change the past, what kind of future will they create?

Ultra-realistic full-body historical portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte at his 1804 imperial coronation, completely alone, no other people visible. Adult French man in his mid-30s, short and compact with a sturdy, broad-shouldered build. Relatively long torso, strong neck and shoulders, natural proportions.

Historically accurate facial appearance based on contemporary eyewitness descriptions: broad high forehead, oval-to-rounded face, prominent cheekbones, strong rounded chin, straight well-shaped nose, thin well-formed lips, pale to slightly sallow complexion, expressive gray-blue eyes, dark eyebrows, intense penetrating gaze, serious intelligent expression. Fine chestnut-brown hair cut short in the early Imperial style, slightly thinning near the temples. Do not make him tall, extremely muscular, black-haired, or give him an exaggerated hooked nose.

He wears authentic 1804 French Imperial coronation attire: richly decorated dark blue military coat with elaborate gold embroidery and gold epaulettes, white waistcoat and cravat, white trousers, polished black boots, military decorations and medals, and appropriate imperial ceremonial accessories.

He stands alone in an unobstructed grand cathedral interior with subtle Notre-Dame architecture, candles, stone columns, and warm ceremonial lighting, but absolutely no people, attendants, soldiers, crowd, Napoleon's court, or Joséphine. Entire body clearly visible.

Photorealistic historical reconstruction, authentic early-19th-century anatomy, grooming, clothing, fabrics and proportions, realistic skin and hair texture, museum-quality detail, natural cinematic lighting.

Ultra-realistic full-body historical portrait of Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais at her imperial coronation in Notre-Dame Cathedral, Paris, December 2, 1804, completely alone, no other people visible.

Adult woman around 30 years old, petite, slender and delicately built, with a graceful well-proportioned figure and narrow waist. Refined historical beauty rather than exaggerated modern-model features. Slightly long oval face, delicate regular features, small elegant mouth, straight well-formed nose, rounded chin, expressive dark hazel-brown eyes with long lashes, warm slightly olive/sallow complexion, gentle intelligent expression and naturally graceful bearing.

Long soft chestnut-brown hair arranged in an authentic early-1800s imperial hairstyle, with elegant curls and volume around the face. She should look unmistakably like a sophisticated French woman of the Napoleonic court.

She wears authentic 1804 Empress Joséphine coronation attire: an extraordinarily luxurious long-sleeved silver-brocade Empire gown with a high waist, richly jeweled bodice, diamonds, gold embroidery, and gold-laced shoulder and collar ornament. A magnificent purple velvet imperial mantle embroidered with golden bees hangs from her shoulders and forms a long ceremonial train, lined with white ermine and decorated with gold laurel, olive and oak motifs.

She wears Joséphine's ceremonial imperial crown decorated with black pearls, positioned over an ornate jeweled diadem, along with authentic diamonds, pearls, and Napoleonic court jewelry.

She stands alone in a grand Notre-Dame interior with subtle cathedral architecture, candles and warm ceremonial lighting, but absolutely no Napoleon, attendants, soldiers, nobles, crowd, or background characters. Entire gown, mantle, train, crown, hairstyle and figure clearly visible.

Photorealistic historical reconstruction, authentic 1804 French Imperial fashion, realistic anatomy, natural skin and hair texture, historically accurate jewelry and materials, extremely detailed silver brocade, velvet, ermine, gold embroidery, diamonds and pearls, elegant cinematic cathedral lighting, museum-qualit
