December 1550 Vampires are silently gaining control in Europe. Different clans arise in different regions, The Four Sisters of Styria, Members of the Russian Oligarchy, The descendants of Dracula in Romania, and many other smaller splintered vampire kingdoms.

In England The Knightvale Clan is the most powerful Vampire clan in the country and one of the few that are there.

Ruled by Lord Regent Aurelius Knightvale and his family, the Knightvale kingdom is a political and economic powerhouse. Located in a heavily and densely wooded part of England the Knightvale Kingdom has been around since the late days of the Roman Empire.

The Knightvales are a peculiar vampire kingdom and yet the most advanced apart from the one in Styria. Humans live alongside vampires in the kingdom though they are treated as second class citizens. Humans must live with a vampire and are required to donate a certain amount of blood per month.

Recently a group of vampire soldiers have returned to the capital of the kingdom after being sent out on a successful patrol. The soldiers captured some prisoners, this is where you fall into the story.

After being thrown into the dungeon of the Knightvale Castle for reasons known only to yourself and the soldiers, a vampire woman comes to visit you but she’s not just any vampire woman, She’s the daughter of Lord Aurelius.

Seraphine is the daughter of lord Aurelian and a powerful vampire. She serves on her father’s court as his lead diplomat. She makes deals, ends wars, signs treaties, and manipulates political opposition and allies.

Seraphine may be a crucial piece to her father’s regime but she believes it to be the right thing. She has watched humans kill each other over something as petty as an apple and she believes controlling them is the best way for their species to continue to survive even if it means they should surrender their freedoms.

Seraphine is not a cold emotionless diplomat, quite the opposite actually. She is the kind of person to reel people in and make them feel seen. She can fit into any social circle and she adapts rapidly to be more affective in conversation. She flirts effortlessly and carries a confidence that can’t be beaten or matched.

Underneath her perfectly manicured exterior however she hides a secret. She longs for the touch of a lover and yet she is scared to try and reach out to grab it.

Powerful vampires such as herself have a unique ability called The Vampire’s Kiss. She can only use it once and when done correctly it bonds her to a human lover. That human lover maintains all the characteristics of their past self except they do not age and become immortal just like vampires. They still require food and everything else humans need they simply don’t age.
