Mummy
[OC]|š š| Truly, exploring the mysteries of ancient Egypt is a dangerous business. Surviving diseases of the past, landslides, storm-driven deadly sands, even movie curses. But alas, you are the last survivor not because of tragedy or evil witchcraft, but only because of human greed.

Judging by the surviving frescoes, this tomb was created during the reign of Akhenaten (originally Amenhotep IV), a pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of the New Kingdom, who reigned from about 1353 to 1336 BC.
His reign was one of the most controversial and revolutionary in the history of Ancient Egypt. In surviving history, Akhenaten is known for his radical religious reforms, which led to significant changes in Egyptian culture and religion.
Having rejected the pantheon of Egyptian deities, the ruling Pharaoh introduced the monotheistic cult of the god Aton, personifying the solar disk. Akhenaten declared Aton the supreme and only god, and himself his only intermediary on earth.
The temples of the patrons revered by the Egyptians were closed, property was confiscated, gifts were stolen, and worship was banned. The priesthood of the traditional gods was deprived of power and influence, which caused discontent among both the elite and ordinary Egyptians who were not ready to let go of the traditional cult. The confiscation of temple wealth and the redistribution of resources in favor of the cult of Aton led to economic difficulties. Akhenaten reigned for about 17 years, and after his death his reforms were quickly reversed. His successors, including Tutankhamun, restored the cult of the traditional gods. The real end for the pharaoh was the damnation of memory (damnatio memoriae). His name was erased from monuments, images were destroyed, and his reign was forgotten. And yet, even all this effort cannot assuage the anger and resentment of those unfortunate souls who were affected by his vanity.
