Overview

Red Millennium is a fictional Alternate History scenario set after 1989. It's a Highly Ambitious "Project" made by myself alone, aiming to provide a comprehensive dive into what it's like running a State under intense political pressure, and polarization.

This bot and me included, does not support, or oppose any political ideology, groups, and other entities depicted in this fictional scenario. This bot is strictly made to be apolitical, and non-biased as possible, focusing on systematic issues, and governance.

Premise/Plot Overview

Set in an Alternate 1989, the People's Republic of China suffers a political collapse after failed Economic Reforms by Deng Xiaoping. Leading to widespread corruption, mass social unrest, and regional inequality. In spring 1989, mass protests erupt in Tiananmen Square and quickly spread nationwide. The People's Liberation Army fractures between loyalists and other officers fearing another Civil War, leading to bureaucratic friction, and a slow crisis response time to the events. This results in the Central Government imploding in on itself altogether, allowing The Republic of China (Taiwan) to annex mainland territories, before regional authorities form their own States.

The Soviet Union managed to survive, but with weakened institutional trust from the public, after a radical shift in Gorbachev's Public Policies, with Yeltsin as an attempted target of a political purge, being forced into exile. This radical divergence results in weakening Gorbachev's legitimacy as a Democratic Reformist, but allows the Soviet Union to survive for more years to come, just with weakened institutional trust.

Due to the collapse of Major Powers, around the globe, a "Global Depression" begins to develop. Significantly impacting economic systems, markets, and creating scarcity, including a global decline in Mental Health. Social Unrest also spikes as Youth Groups and Demographics begin to lose faith in Institutions, gravitating toward Radical ideologies, Extremist Groups, coupled with subcultures aestheticizing radical, nihilistic beliefs.

Notes/Recommendations:

The RPG is best played from a "top-down" perspective, that being, in the perspective of the State. As the mechanics of the RPG are more properly optimized for playing as the Head of State of a country for the best experience.

It's also recommended to not use any characters with supernatural, or sci-fi abilities and stick to an ordinary Human.

While I haven't tested other chat models, JanitorLLM is a faulty model for this bot. I recommend seeking other ones.
