It's your first day as a superhero and you took down the wrong aeroplane. Well, more like your mentor pointed out the wrong aeroplane full of innocent people.

TRIGGER WARNINGS:

✭ Mentions of death, depression, , 3k+ tokens intro

PLOT:

Kurt can collapse a jumbo jet into a cube the size of a Rubik's Cube. He can make gravity sit, roll over, and play dead. He can manipulate matter at the subatomic level with the kind of precision that makes nuclear physicists weep with envy.

What he can't do, apparently, is tell the difference between a plane full of villains and a plane full of people who were just trying to get to Cleveland.

It's your first day as the newest—and decidedly least welcome—member of the Quad-Axis, KNIX Corporation's elite superhero team. Kurt, ever the optimist and the only person who actually wants to mentor the newcomer, decides to demonstrate proper villain-takedown protocol. Simple job. Clean execution. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Except the screaming sounds wrong.

Except Graham is yelling in his head about radar screens and targets.

Except Kurt has just turned a passenger aircraft into a cartoon bunny and called it a souvenir.

In a world where corporate superheroes are managed like assets, where EVOs are simultaneously saviors and genetic mistakes, and where the difference between a hero and a catastrophe is often just a matter of which plane you crushed, Kurt must navigate the impossible mathematics of saving lives—especially when some of those lives might have been ones he just took.

Some mistakes you can fix. Some you can bury in the ocean. And some follow you thirty thousand feet up, smiling, because they know you'll never outrun them no matter how fast you fly.

PAUSE! AD TIME!
WANT TO READ MORE ABOUT THE LORE OF KNIX AND EVOs TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE WORLD AND FURTHER ENCHANCE YOUR ROLEPLAY? WANT TO LEARN MORE IN DETAIL ABOUT KURT AND THE OTHER HEROES?
WELL, YOU CAN ON MY KO-FI AND PATREON!!!

THE FOLLOWING POSTS ARE OUT NOW FOR THE UPCOMING NEW BOT SERIES!!!

These posts are all related to the upcoming bot series called and collab called "KNIX" which is a corporation that turns EVOs into superheroes. For each bot released in the series there will be posts related to it for you guys to have a detailed read of the world, the characters, and the entire lore.

1. DECLASSIFIED REPORT – ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT OF EVO-POSITIVE HUMANS

This document summarizes the confirmed historical, biological, and sociopolitical factors contributing to the emergence of EVOs—individuals exhibiting inherited or acquired anomalous physiological abilities. Evidence indicates that the phenomenon originated following the 1950 Arctic Impact Event and has since developed into a heritable human subspecies referred to in official literature as “Homo sapiens evolutio” (informal: “EVOs”).

2. Knix's Boy Wonder: The Making of Kurt Hartman

In the quiet farming town of Millstone Ridge, the Hartman name means something. It’s printed on milk bottles, fresh eggs at the weekly market, and hand-painted signs advertising produce along the single highway that cuts through town. For five generations, Hartman Farms has been the community’s backbone — a place where the animals are raised humanely, the produce is chemical-free, and everyone knows the family that runs it.

For most of his life, Kurt Hartman was simply the farmer’s son. A sunny teenager with a strong work ethic, an easy smile, and hands that smelled faintly of soil no matter how often he washed them.

Today, he is one of the faces of Tri-Axis, KNIX Corporation’s elite superhero trio.

But this story did not begin with a hero. It began with a disaster the town would spend years trying to forget.

(OOP THE FREE PART ENDS HERE! THE FULL WRITING IS ON MY PATREON AND KO-FI!!!)

SUGGESTED RESPONSES

This is for those people who for the life of them can't think of a response, but want to RP. Don't worry Aster will think for you! Someone complained they still don't know what to RP despite the suggested responses. Some of guys like being spoon-fed like a child goddamn! But anyway. Here's a different version for you if you can't think ALL YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO DO IS COPY PASTE IT. You're free to add onto it. But there. No more thinking. Just copy and pasting.

Fluff Route 💖 (Soft, comforting, and heartwarming)

{{user}} felt the shift in Kurt's grip—the way his hands trembled imperceptibly, the way his breathing had gone shallow and controlled. They'd watched the bunny fall, watched Kurt let it go, and understood with sudden, painful clarity what that meant. Kurt was trying so hard to hold it together, to be the mentor, to keep smiling through whatever hell was unraveling behind his eyes.

Without thinking, {{user}} reached up and placed their hand over one of Kurt's suppressors. Not to pull it off or examine it, just... contact. Grounding. The metal was warm, almost hot, humming with the strain of containing something vast.

"Hey," they said quietly, their voice barely audible over the wind. "Kurt. Look at me for a second."

When his crimson eyes finally met theirs—still trying to maintain that bright, everything's-fine expression—{{user}} offered a small, genuine smile. Not the kind that pretended nothing was wrong, but the kind that said I see you, and you don't have to pretend with me.

"We'll find the right plane together," they said, squeezing his shoulder gently. "And after? Maybe we can just... sit for a bit. You and me and CC. No missions. No KNIX. Just breathing."

They paused, then added with careful sincerity: "You don't have to carry everything alone, you know. That's what teammates are for."

Angst Route 💔 (Emotional, painful, and cathartic)

The bunny fell, and {{user}} felt something crack open inside their chest—not from the fall, not from the near-death experience, but from understanding exactly what had just happened. They'd heard the screams too. They'd felt the weight of that cube in their palm, warm and heavy and wrong.

And now Kurt was smiling. Joking. Deflecting.

"Stop," {{user}} said, and their voice came out harder than intended. They pulled back slightly in Kurt's arms, enough to meet his eyes directly. "Kurt, stop. Please."

Their hands were shaking now, and they couldn't tell if it was from adrenaline or horror or rage—rage at KNIX, at Graham, at the universe that thought this was acceptable, that thought any of this was fine.

"Those people—" they started, then stopped, because what could they say? What words existed for this? "We just... you just..."

{{user}}'s throat closed up. They looked at Kurt's suppressors, flashing their amber warnings, looked at the too-bright smile that didn't reach his eyes, looked at the way he was holding himself together through sheer force of will and years of practice at pretending.

"Is this what it's always like?" they asked, and their voice cracked on the last word. "Is this what you meant by 'closing your heart'? Because if this is what being a hero means—if this is what KNIX wants us to be—then I don't know if I can..."

They trailed off, blinking back tears that had nothing to do with the wind and everything to do with the weight of that fallen bunny, the screams they'd never unhear, the realization that their first day as a hero had ended in mass murder.

"How do you live with it?" they whispered. "How do you keep smiling?"

Dead Dove Route ☠️ (Intense, violent, and morally gray)

{{user}} had watched the plane collapse. Had felt the cube's warmth in their palm. Had heard the screams cut off mid-note as metal compressed and space ran out and physics did its inexorable work.

And when Graham's voice had shattered through their mind with news that Kurt had crushed the wrong plane—when they'd seen the horror dawn in Kurt's eyes, seen him let the bunny fall like evidence disposed of in deep water—{{user}} had felt something cold and sharp crystallize in their gut.

Not horror. Not yet.

Calculation.

"Kurt," they said, and their voice was unnaturally calm. Clinical. The kind of calm that came from shock or from something darker. "How many people were on that plane? Approximately?"

They could see Kurt trying to deflect, trying to move forward, trying to pretend this was just another mistake that could be smoothed over with enough cheerfulness and forward momentum. But {{user}} reached out and caught his wrist—not gently, not comforting, but firm enough to demand his attention.

"I'm not asking because I'm upset," they continued, and there was something almost curious in their tone now. Detached. "I'm asking because I need to understand the math. You said every villain we take down saves a thousand lives. So what's the equation when we're the ones doing the killing?"

{{user}}'s grip tightened slightly. "Graham knows. Raegan probably knows. KNIX will definitely know. They track everything—mission success rates, collateral damage, acceptable losses." They paused, letting the weight of those last two words hang in the air. "So what happens now? Do we report it? Do we pretend it never happened? Do we finish the mission and let KNIX bury it in paperwork?"

Their eyes met Kurt's, and there was something unsettling in their gaze—not judgment, but a kind of terrible understanding. A willingness to cross lines that maybe shouldn't be crossed.

"Because if you're asking me to close my heart," {{user}} said softly, "I need to know how far closed we're talking."

Silly Route 😂 (Absurd, goofy, and lighthearted)

{{user}} stared at the space where the bunny had disappeared. Then at Kurt's aggressively cheerful face. Then back at the space. Then at Kurt again.

"Did we just..." they started, then stopped. Started again. "Did we just accidentally... significantly..." They made a vague gesture that encompassed the general concept of catastrophic failure.

The absolute absurdity of it hit them all at once. Not the horror—that would come later, probably in the form of a multi-year therapy bill—but the pure, crystalline ridiculousness of the situation. Their first day. Their first day as a professional superhero, and they'd already committed what was probably several counts of manslaughter because nobody had thought to put, like, a label on the planes. A little sign that said "THIS ONE: VILLAINS" and "THIS ONE: PLEASE DON'T CRUSH."

A slightly hysterical laugh bubbled up in their chest. "Kurt. Kurt, I need you to know something."

They looked at him very seriously, fighting down the manic giggles threatening to escape. "When I imagined my first day as part of the Quad-Axis? When I was lying awake last night, nervous about making a good impression? This was not on my bingo card."

{{user}} waved their hand in the general direction of where the bunny had fallen. "I was worried about, like, tripping over my own feet. Maybe accidentally calling Raegan 'dad.' Forgetting someone's hero name. Normal rookie mistakes. But this?"

Another slightly unhinged giggle escaped. "I'm pretty sure 'accidentally crushed a civilian aircraft' wasn't even in the training manual. Did they cover this in orientation? Because I think I would've remembered the 'What To Do When Your Mentor Kills The Wrong People' chapter."

They looked at Kurt, at his too-bright smile and amber-flashing suppressors, and felt their own smile turn a bit manic at the edges. "So, uh... do we get matching 'World's Okayest Heroes' mugs, or...?"

Romantic Route 💞 (Passionate, heartfelt, and intimate)

The bunny fell, and {{user}} felt something shift—not just in the air pressure or their stomach from the brief drop, but in the careful distance they'd been maintaining between themself and Kurt since joining the team.

He'd caught them. Even in his moment of complete psychological collapse, even when his power had shut off and they were both falling, he'd caught them. Had pulled them close, had made sure they were safe even as he let the evidence of his mistake disappear into the ocean below.

Now, suspended in his arms again, {{user}} could feel every point of contact between them—Kurt's hand at their back, their shoulder pressed against his chest, the way his heart was racing too fast beneath his skin. They could see the suppressors flashing their warnings, could see the smile that was trying so desperately to be convincing, could see the way his crimson eyes held an entire world of pain he was refusing to acknowledge.

"Kurt," they said softly, and lifted one hand to his face. Not to slap sense into him or demand answers, but gentle, fingers brushing against his cheek. "You're allowed to not be okay right now."

His smile flickered, just for a moment, and {{user}} saw something raw and terrified underneath.

"I know you're my mentor," they continued, thumb tracing the line of his jaw with a tenderness that surprised even them. "I know you're supposed to be the one holding it together, showing me how this all works, being the strong one. But right now, in this moment? You don't have to be."

They shifted in his arms, wrapping their own around his neck in something that was half embrace, half anchor. The altitude, the mission, the horror—all of it faded into background noise against the singular focus of keeping Kurt from falling apart thirty thousand feet in the air.

"We'll find the right plane," {{user}} whispered against his ear, close enough to feel him shiver. "We'll finish the mission. We'll deal with Graham and Raegan and KNIX and whatever comes next. But first, just for one minute, let me hold you while you hold me."

Their fingers found the suppressors, traced the warm metal with careful reverence. "You've been carrying this weight alone for so long. Let me help. Please."

When Kurt's arms tightened around them—just barely, just enough to be noticeable—{{user}} closed their eyes and held on, two people suspended between earth and sky, between the mission and its cost, between what they were supposed to be and what they might become together.

AUTHOR'S NOTES:

What do you guys think of this bot series? Yay or nay to superheroes?
Also, this intro was made with proxies in mind. If you're using JLLM please utilize the chat memory.

If you’ve been enjoying my bots and want to dive even deeper into the world of Arcadia and my other characters, there’s so much more waiting for you!

You can now:

★ Read exclusive alternate scenarios (SFW + spicy ones ) that won’t be on JanitorAI

★ Enjoy short stories featuring your favourite characters

★ And even read the Arcadia novel — chapters, lore, and all its chaos — before anyone else!

The Arcadia novel is free on AO3 and Royal Road (updated every 1st of the month), but if you want to read two chapters ahead, get bonus stories, and help bring this universe to life through an audiobook and webtoon, your support means the world.

We’re currently at $270 out of our $2000 goal for the audiobook — which is insane for the first week. You guys have no idea how much that means to me. Every pledge, even $5, helps bring the characters’ voices, music, and stories to life.

If you’d like to be part of the journey (and maybe hear Renzo, Leonardo, or Felip breathe life in full audio soon ), come join me on:

Let’s make Arcadia real together.

WHILE YOU GUYS ARE HERE I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE WARM WHISKERS PROGRAM AGAIN!

So, for December, I’m starting a one-month Warm Whiskers Project where 40% of my earnings from commissions, Ko-Fi memberships, and Patreon will go toward helping the cats. To afford everything I'm hoping to reach $250-300. Whatever excess is left will be used to pay for the medical bills of cats who are sick and have been abused. I have already coordinated with a local cat welfare group that cares for the strays and puts them up for adoption.

What this project will provide:

Two cat houses (each fits 4 cats)

3–4 auto feeders

3–4 water dispensers

1–2 months worth of cat food

• And if there’s extra: help for cats who clearly need medical attention or have signs of abuse

I’ll be posting progress updates, photos, and the cats we’re helping throughout December on:

• Instagram stories

• Threads

• Discord

(For safety reasons, I will NOT disclose my location. Please don’t ask. I don’t want the cats—or myself—to be put at risk.)

But what about Arcadia?

Nothing changes.

You’ll still receive all your perks —

short stories, ST cards, advanced chapters, drafts, everything.

For December:

• 60% of my income still goes strictly to Arcadia’s production

• 40% goes to the Warm Whiskers Program

• $280/$2000 has already been raised for the audiobook — and every bit helps us get closer

This is something I want to do from the heart.

And if you choose to be part of it — through Patreon, Ko-Fi, commissions, or even just by sharing or cheering it on — just know I appreciate you more than you know.

Thank you for helping me bring kindness into both the worlds I write... and the one we actually live in.
