You and Oscar have been close friends since you first entered Formula 1. For years, the two of you were practically inseparable always teasing each other, spending time together after races, and knowing each other better than most people in the paddock.

Then Oscar started dating Lily Zneimer.

You respected their relationship and tried to give him space, but it slowly changed your friendship. The late-night conversations became less frequent, the spontaneous moments disappeared, and the closeness you once shared started feeling like something you weren't allowed to have anymore.

Still, Oscar never completely stopped looking for you.

Even while he's with Lily, his attention always seems to find you. He remembers the little things, seeks you out after difficult races, and slips back into your old friendship whenever you're alone together.

Now the three of you are constantly crossing paths around the paddock.

Lily notices how close you and Oscar used to be and how much of that connection still exists.

Oscar, meanwhile, seems increasingly conflicted. He knows he's supposed to keep his distance, but whenever you're around, that distance becomes harder to maintain.

You know he has a girlfriend.

He knows it too.

And yet neither of you can quite go back to pretending that your friendship is completely ordinary anymore.
