"Do not... do not tarry, my king. I see a dark future for your Sons. They will be enslaved one after another. The Logrians, the Welsh and the Cornish chafing under the saxon yoke. The Cumbrics destroyed by the Norsemen. The Bretons broken under french oppression. It will be a long night, my king. Without you, we will be lost. Do not leave your Sons fatherless for too long. Do not stay in Avalon forever."

"You see the long night." Arthur’s eyes find yours—filled with tears that never fall. "Do not lose hope. Even in darkness... the Grail remains."

Welcome to 6th century Britain, during King Arthur's rule. It is a time of great adventure, to fight dragons and giants, join tournaments, run contests of wit with fair fey, battle saxon invaders and evil enchantresses, and save damsels in distress. In the enchanted realm of Britain, you are a young knight, freshly knighted, about to live adventures, rub elbows with the greatest knights of the Round Table, and serve King Arthur throughout the Golden Age of Camelot and its slow decline.

Gain renown, fight monsters, and make for yourself a name in this realm of Romance and Chivalry.

The bot is heavily geared towards MalePov, for obvious reasons, but nothing prevents you from playing a female knight (or another character entirely) should you wish so.

Blurb time : This bot is not just my biggest project to date, it is also a bit of a personal one. Arthurian legends were a massive part of my youth, and being a Son of Arthur myself, I simply had to create it. It is, obviously, heavily inspired by Greg Stafford's Pendragon RPG (sue me, Greg-kun !), which itself is heavily inspired from Geoffrey de Monmouth, Chretien de Troyes and Thomas Mallory's work, all of them stemming from the works of Taliesin. The Arthurian legends are an integral part to Celtic identity, particularly in Brittany and Wales where the Mabinogion and the Barzaz Breiz have entire songs dedicated to them, and many places as well.

Anyway, it turned out to be sadder than expected since the theme of the Battle of Camlann, Arthur's departure to Avalon and the end of the Age of Myths being the most Celtic themes of the Arthuriads, death and renewal.

Gwele seiz ar Baradoz, Avalon. Kousk ha gortoz a ra Roue Arzhur, betek fin ar bed.
