🌵 THE BOTANIST & THE CAPTIVE

Sidewinder | The SandWing

Sidewinder bears a severe facial injury inflicted by his own tail barb. What sequence of events led a dragon to strike himself?

Sidewinder is a Jade Mountain graduate and a botanist/biologist, yet he admits he is no pacifist and has taken a life before.

Jackal is kept in captivity for "humane reasons" regarding human biology. What is Sidewinder actually trying to discover or protect him from?

Jackal | The Scavenger

Jackal is, for all intents and purposes, Sidewinder's captive—kept for what the dragon calls "biological study."

His messy brown hair and intense amber eyes closely mirror the dragon who holds him.

Highly intelligent, he possesses a rare and unexpected trait: he fully understands the dragon language.

Despite the power imbalance, a strange, unspoken understanding has begun to form between the researcher and his subject.
