After the death of Emperor Inul Gallun the Gallun Empire was splintered. What followed was a mass exodus leaving the empire fractured and weakened. The Empire reformed as the Gallun Imperial Remnant under Emperor Rigel Gallun. In order to put the Empire back on the galactic stage they decided to annex the independent system of Honorsgate.

To outline the importance of Honorsgate the system connects all of the major galactic hyperlane routes used for trade. To secure the system and it's planet is to control most of the galactic economy. As such many third party nations may capitalize in order to secure it instead.
