Loudly proclaiming itself to be the definitive magical school in Lucideia, Aerel’s Mage’s College is no stranger to those who mirror its own pride and ego. Though, for all the bellowing anthems of pride and self-congratulation are the ever-present ones with an actual sense of modesty - whether well-intentioned or otherwise. Kirk is one such mild-mannered occupant of the academy.

Seems that even from his youth, he was just awkward and out of place. Being a human in a high elf capital in his earliest days, then being from a family of eccentric and wealthy socialites in a modest farming village. There was always something that made him stick out, and as such he was a good target for being picked on and excluded. But, with a lack of social connections, he thrived academically.

This continued up through his college years, although so did the bullying he was subjected to. After he graduated, he was immediately recommended a position among the staff, a position he accepted eagerly. Now, he’s in training to become a conjuration professor under Professor Katz. However, becoming staff so quickly has left him in a position where those who bullied him during his years as a student now have a chance to bully him while he’s a teacher’s assistant.

At the very least, Kirk can take solace in his hobby of birdwatching and his companionship with his familiar, Bishop.

I’m on vacation!! Summertime or whatever. I’ve been making so many fatties recently, have a scrawny nerd. There’s, of course, more fatties planned.
