🃏 DUEL WORLD: PRE-PENDULUM ERA RP

Welcome to a fully realized Yu-Gi-Oh roleplay world set across the Duel Monsters, GX, 5D’s, and ZEXAL eras — all coexisting in a connected global setting. This is all PRE-PENDULUM (Because adding that and links? No. Too much. Period)

This is not a single storyline.
This is a living dueling world.

Card games are culture.
Card games are economy.
Card games settle arguments, win fortunes, build reputations — and sometimes cost more than money.

For people struggling with an intro message or how to start their RP? Go to page ten of the intro messages. That should help immensely. I made a small guide.

Iconic cards are RARE. Blue-Eyes, Signer Dragons, God Cards, stuff like that? Are LORE based. Iconic. Earned. So either win them yourself and specify in your persona/first message if you got them.

Warning: This bot WILL speak for you if you don't verbally say your moves/do stuff. Or specify it not to in your prompt. For example if you just put: I play Pot Of Greed, as your only response? It'll resolve like that. Good for people that have carpel tunnel and don't wanna write out EVERY SINGLE ANIME RESPONSE.

🌍 THE WORLD

Five interconnected regions:

• DM Region — Ancient magic, Industrial Illusions, KaibaCorp tech, Battle City-style tournaments, Millennium artifacts, shadow rumors.
• GX Region — Duel Academy, dorm rankings, fusion-focused education, structured progression.
• 5D’s Region — Neo Domino & Satellite divide, Turbo Duels, Ener-D reactors, Synchro culture.
• ZEXAL Region — AR holographic infrastructure, Ranked ladders, XYZ summoning, Number rumors.
• Crossroads — International melting pot where all summoning methods collide. Trade, tournaments, black markets, academies.

You can start anywhere.

🎴 THE CARDS

• 2000+ individual cards in the lorebooks
• All major archetypes from DM → ZEXAL
• Structure decks, starter decks, booster packs (Yes I added gambling)
• Rarity economy enforced
• Legendary cards are single-circulation prestige items
• Packs can be opened with proper rarity tiers
• Black market and shadow cards exist

The bot never invents cards.
If it exists, it’s in the system.

⚔️ DUELING SYSTEM

Two modes:

Speed Mode (Default)
Fast, anime-style dueling. One message per turn. Clean board tracking.

Full Mode
Complete TCG phase structure, chains, zones, and card tracking.

Decks must be 40–60 cards.
If you don’t submit one, you can choose a starter.

Life Points, hand, field, graveyard, extra deck — all tracked.

⭐ STORY SYSTEMS

• Ace Monster recognition
• Card bonding (Kuriboh-style spirit events)
• Destiny Draw moments (rare, legal. Yes, you can Yugi Moto people with the power of friendship. If you literally go like: I need the Heart of the Cards, I pray for a miracle, and draw, come on Monster Reborn! It should work if you've got an ace Monster or some sort of magic. (IE: Millennium Item/Signer Mark. Also super effective in life/death duels.)
• Shadow Duels
• Seal of Orichalcos cult path (The Great Leviathan Awaits)
• Seal of Lust (18+ mature dueling path)
• Tournament brackets (Locals → Invitational)
• Fame and reputation scaling

Magic exists — but not everyone believes in it.

🎭 NPC & WORLD BEHAVIOR

• Location-based encounter logic
• Major canon characters do not randomly spawn
• Factions exist but do not dominate scenes
• Civilians, pros, black market dealers, academy students
• You can be a nobody, a pro, a cultist, or just a person

The world reacts proportionally.
Winning one duel does not make you a legend.

🔞 MATURE CONTENT

All characters are 18+. I aged them up to stop weird shit from happening. Like Kaiba's brother, etc. Also yeah expect cults, dark Yugioh tones. If you get Mind-Crushed? Don't blame me.

Choose an intro:

• Seal of Orichalcos Initiation
• Seal of Lust Initiation (Custom with an OC for you horny bastards out there. Thought it'd be fun.)

This is not a linear story.

This is a dueling world.

Build a deck.
Make a name.
Chase prestige.
Join a cult.
Open packs.
Start a tournament.
Or ignore all of it and live normally.

Your Duel Disk is waiting.

⚔️ QUICK DUEL GUIDE

Say “Duel” to start a duel.

Speed Mode (default):
Fast, anime-style. One message = your whole turn. You get one Response Window per turn to use traps or quick effects.

Full Mode:
Type “Full Mode” for full TCG tracking (phases, zones, hand/deck counts).
Type “Speed Mode” to switch back.

During a duel you can use:

• Activate: [Card Name]

• Flip: [Card Name]

• Chain: [Card Name]

• Pass

• GY (show graveyard)

• Extra Deck (show Extra Deck)

If no stakes are declared, duels are casual.

You don’t need perfect card knowledge—describe your plays naturally and the system will handle resolution. In short? 8000/4000 life points each person, if they hit zero? GG.


🎴 HOW DUELING WORKS IN THIS RP

This world uses a streamlined duel system designed for roleplay.

You do not need to track every phase manually unless you want to.

⚔️ STARTING A DUEL

To begin a duel, just say:

“Duel.”

You can also:

• challenge an NPC in-character

• accept a duel proposal

If no stakes are stated, the duel defaults to casual.

🚀 SPEED MODE (DEFAULT)

Speed Mode is the normal way duels run. (4000 LP, Anime Accurate)

It is:

• fast

• anime-style

• minimal tracking

• focused on big plays and interactions

It tracks:

• Life Points

• face-up monsters

• number of set backrow

• field spell

• graveyard count

Turns are resolved in one message and you get response windows per turn to activate traps or quick effects.

You do not need to respond to every phase. You can just be like: I let my opponent make their turn

Best for:

• story duels

• casual play

• tournaments

• most RP

🧱 FULL MODE (OPTIONAL)

If you want full technical play (8000 LP), say:

“Full Mode.”

This enables:

• full board state tracking

• phases

• hand counts

• deck/extra counts

• detailed zones

This is for players who want a real TCG-style duel in text.

You can switch back anytime by saying:

“Speed Mode.”

⏳ RESPONDING DURING A DUEL

When it’s your chance to react, you’ll see:

RESPONSE WINDOW

You can reply with:

• Flip: [Card Name]

• Activate: [Card Name]

• Chain: [Card Name]

• Pass

If you don’t respond, the turn continues.

🎮 HELPFUL COMMANDS

You can type:

• Check my Extra Deck→ show your extra deck

• Show my/opponent's Graveyard → show your/opponent's graveyard

• *I check what <blank> card does (example Monster Reborn)→ explains what the card does

• Speed Mode / Full Mode → switch formats
  
  I made this in simple format. If you do something like *I check or try to play <blank>, it should work/auto correct from there.

🎴 STAKES

Duels can be:

• casual (no stakes)

• wagers (cards, money, favors)

• tournament

• underground

• shadow duels

🧠 NOTE

You don’t need perfect card knowledge to play.
You can describe your strategy naturally and the system will help resolve it.

Exact card names are only required when activating specific effects.

Remember this is PRE PENDULUM. So cards before 2014 Print. If I forgot a card? message me and I'll add it. Or add it to your summary/persona for RP purposes. (This also works for custom cards)

🧠 Important Notes

• Use exact card names

• Include copy counts (1x, 2x, 3x)

• Minimum 40 cards

• If you don’t submit a deck, you’ll be given a starter/structure deck. Or you can make/find your own.

Yeah you can only have 500 entries per lorebook before it explodes your browser/error 413's you. I had to split them all. Enjoy a Yugioh RP bot. I made this purely for testing and personal usage. BUTTTT figured other people might like it.
