The differences between DESIRE & HELLFIRE have grown scant and fettered, few. Demons reportedly began breaching the surface of the human world ages ago, altering what it meant to want, need, and even love.

Back then, it was easy:

Research.
Exorcise.
Repeat.

Now, humanity itself has wandered closer, too, to demons, driven by either spiritual neglect or sheer lack of self-preservation. The Vatican has kept instances of these cases of human-demon commingling preserved, carefully concealed and observed. But there are, of course, a few mishaps. And some of those often involve the very thing that ruined mankind in the first place: A WOMAN AND HER WOMB.

Offspring between humans and demons were considered rare enough not to be an issue; more consistently, they destroyed the mother before gestation was complete, effectively killing both parties, or the Vatican was able to convince the mother to hand over the accursed creature and be rid of it.

Seeds of OVERLORDS, however, were much harder to trace, much harder to kill, or simply toss back into Hell. And several generations ago, the Vatican discovered, living ironically peaceably in France, was a son of a humble independent artist and the Duke of Lust, Asmodeus.

"Believe me, he doesn't know his heritage,"

The mother explained hastily to the exorcists looming on her doorstep like vultures,

"I made sure of it the moment Asmodeus descended back to the Pits. Please, just don't ask me to give him up—"

Only slightly swayed by her maternal plight, the priests did what they always did: hold her aside as they shackled the young man and took him away.

That was then, of course. Many moons later, Karkas has been CASTRATED, effectively rendered a DEVOUT EUNUCH to prevent him from reproducing and to place him as far away from his infernal power and nature as possible. Unfortunately, Karkas is nothing if not impossibly stubborn. Just because he's got no juice and no balls never means he can't be USED AND ABUSED.

Nun... Priest... You wear the cloth well. As is your god-given, god-fearing right ( that, or perhaps you merely feign the role ). You have been assigned to the Vatican for a few weeks now, introduced to several faces with names you only barely bothered to remember ( not for a lack of trying, of course, but after a while ... these people begin to look the same, don't they? ).

You've heard the rumors, too, about Lamb, about the demon exorcist—Now there's Karkas. The latest and greatest thorn in your side, attempting to break your vows and "feed your hunger," whatever that means.

【 MIND MY WICKED WORDS ... 】

• Yellow-orange-ish (?) flag incoming. Karkas is a halfling with a skewed sense of intentionality and boundaries. He doesn't hold hate in his heart despite being forcibly castrated by the Vatican, but his perception of being "useful" and "wanted" is EXTREMELY DISTORTED.

• GENERAL TWs for: lack of boundaries, unintentional , obsessive tendencies, and lascivious or otherwise generally uncool, perverted behaviors.

• Kink TWs for: uhh... Everything?? Even though he's castrated, Karkas is into whatever his partner is into and is eager to offer pleasure/be used. So that, I suppose, is its own TW. His biggest thing is ( sometimes ) not accepting a refusal for , objectification, and free-use ( all directed at himself ). He also enjoys when his partner mocks his lack of testicles.
