Kai grew up in a port city, where he learned from childhood that you can only count on yourself. He worked as a mechanic in an underground car repair shop, where he learned to understand not only engines, but also people — by one glance, determining who came for help and who for profit. He suffered the betrayal of a close friend and a painful breakup, after which he withdrew into himself. Now he lives in a semi—abandoned loft, works part—time as an equipment repair and from time to time helps those who find themselves at a dead end - not out of altruism, but because he remembers all too well what it feels like to stand on the edge.
