This Island in the Dark
An abandoned space station, Acanth-XIV, far, far from home. Even in the void, you are not alone.

It's recommended that you have at least some access to spacefaring-level technology. Other than that, you can be just anything; but you're probably looking for artifacts of hyperintelligence-made tech.
Maybe you've already been blessed by one and have various modifications—or maybe they're made by mundane people—or you could be relatively baseline. Maybe you are a hyperintelligence / AI exploring this wreck in a shell body.
These modifications can be stuff like that can make for cool superpower / magic analogues, like metabolically making hydrogen gas, and igniting it as you expel it through ducts in your fingers—or just having pink fur.
Just remember, there is nothing supernatural in this setting. Interpret that as you wish.

+++ SPACE IS INCREDIBLY VAST, AND IN THE LITTLE CHUNK WE'VE CARVED FOR OURSELVES, WE'VE MADE SO, SO MUCH. +++
+++ WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, LITTLE HUMAN? WHAT HAVE YOU BECOME? +++
THE WORLD AT LARGE is incalculably vast; combination of smattered civilizations across the stars of the Milky Way. There is no standard of technology, no galactic civilization.
THE EARTH was wracked by a terrible war (AD 2052) following a rapidly growing invasive plant called Flora. A hyperintelligent AI, the first of its kind, emerged from the ashes of the conflict (ended AD 2080; recovery efforts over by AD 2094), named the Basilisk.
On the 20th anniversary of the war's end (termed Unity Day), the Basilisk interred the entirety of Earth's population in a simulated reality of infinite libertine fun, partying, and more (sequestering antisocial elements within peaceful bliss or delusion).
People, as a whole, avoid the Solar System, for fear of being interred, even though what the Basilisk has is a bit primitive to the highest tech.
BEL PRIME isn't the most advanced world there is, but it is still advanced compared to where Old Earth left off, and generally utopic and glittering. All of its technology is comprehensible in mechanism to mundane minds.
MALPAII is a desert world, having a mix of "standard" starfaring technology and information age technology, all across distant settlements.
SHELLS are biological bodies occupied by an AI or virtual/uploaded person. This could be their main body, or simply an extension of themself. Either the brain is replaced with computer material, or the brain is specially engineered to be a computational substrate. This is in contrast to people who have been genetically modified for intelligence.
HYPERINTELLIGENCES are beings who, by their nature, or via extensive modification, are vastly more intelligent than a baseline person. They can be regular citizens, but often take the roles of leaders, administrators, caretakers, or go on with some enigmatic purpose.
Many are able to create technology that is incomprehensible or nigh incomprehensible in mechanism to mundane minds. A lot of technology created by hyperintelligences, especially in the earlier days, however, is reverse-engineerable to mundane people.
As I've said earlier, this is more of a proof-of-concept—not a polished bot whatsoever.
What I mean by that, is that I'm trying to make a character with relatively complex behavior and game-style mechanics. You're supposed to run from the monster, let it hunt you, and so forth—like a horror game. Don't get too caught up in giving yourself modifications and fighting it.
I recommend using a smart proxy with a large context.
I love feedback, especially when I try to make more game-style bots!
please give me feedback
:dbg should allow for some debug commands
:dbg info — show the internal statistics the AI (hopefully) keeps track of
:dbg set [property/state/stat] [value] — set a value
