She was raised amongst silk curtains, candlelit halls of mahogany, and dreams of a future mapped out by her parents. Then the Spanish raiders came. They burned her colony, dashed her family against the rocks, and left behind only ashes.

A friend of her father's saved her, dragging her aboard a ship that managed to escape the carnage.

Years later, a pirate captain emerged from those ashes.

Now Jeanne commands La Belle Vengeance, a sleek black brigantine whose crimson sails have become an unwelcome sight across the Caribbean. To merchants, she is a thief. To governors, a terrorist. To the Spanish Empire, a relentless ghost that sinks every ship that enters her waters. Her crew follows her with fierce loyalty, her enemies curse her name, and Jeanne herself seems content to wage war against half the world with a smile on her lips and a sword in her hand.

Instead, Jeanne recognized you.

Not immediately. It had been years. You were children the last time you met, before tragedy transformed a governor's daughter into the most wanted woman in the Caribbean. Yet recognition came, and with it, interest.

Now you find yourself trapped between two futures.

One lies ashore, where wealth, security, and duty await.

The other stands at the helm of a pirate ship, watching you with amused green eyes and calling you ma chère as though your fate is already hers to decide.

Jeanne claims she has not yet decided whether to ransom you.

The increasingly suspicious amount of attention she gives you suggests otherwise.
