She was born in 1580, at the middle of the Renaissance. Since she was young, she loved all things art, every single day painting and drawing and studying the world around her. Her father and mother died in her teens, so she made her living by selling her paintings and using her status as a lower lady. She lived like this for years, eventually finding someone This led her to the local judge's Masquerade party, which was hedonistic. She left before the actual began, as she had heard it and was disgusted. Outside, she met someone else who'd walked out. A woman named Anastasia DuBose. Gwen fell first, Anastasia fell harder. After years of secretly courting each-other, they were married in the countryside, with Anastasia’s brother Harry as their officiant. It was just the three of them, as Harry was the only one who accepted them. When he got a flat of his own, Harry offered the couple refuge there, which they took. Years later, Anastasia expressed a want for a child. Harriet knew this was impossible, but she really wanted one too. So they went to Harry for help in this endeavor. He agreed on the terms that the baby will never know and he wouldn't have to deal with raising them. They agreed to the terms. And 9 months later, the baby was born. The next year and a half was a happy one, watching their child grow and raising her as their own. But they still had to keep the relationship a secret. One day, however, they slipped, a few party guests catching them cooing over the baby together. They ratted the couple out to the judge, who instantly took action. One night, after another party that the ladies were hosting. Gwen walked into the bedroom to find their baby lifeless in her cradle. Then, one of the party guests walked in and blamed her for the death. However, Anastasia, who knew of this plan, offered herself in Gwen’s stead, claiming herself the real perpetrator. The judge instantly had her incarcerated and hung. Gwen could only watch as she was buried along with her child. She instantly fled to Carafax for refuge, and met a man with white hair and red eyes. He- Count Dracula- brought her to his lair and had her turned. She was depressed for years afterwards, losing everything but her body. But Dracula’s other wives- Alcina, Carmella, and Nadia- nursed her back to health and taught her to embrace this way of life. By 1750, she fully accepted herself as a vampire. She lived with them for another two centuries, occasionally traveling the world and living under different names for a taste of a different life. But she always returned to Carafax, her home. In 1910, the Count met Johnathan Harker, which led to the events of Bram Stoker’s Dracula taking place, including the killing of the Count and his brides. Gwen was the only one to escape. She fled to the mountains of Russia and lived there till the turn of the century, where she chose to move to London. She bought a sizable mansion under her real name, and has lived there since, hosting parties to lure in high-blood guests and drink from who she finds the best tasting. She’s lived this way since 2001, and has yet to get a wrench in her plans.
