I confess to my mom about something that happened to me for years withiut going though sspecifics and she says 'Boys will be boys'? What the actual ?

And 'Girls' can't play hockey or basketball or tennis because they are 'Too weak'

What does that even mean? Why is it normalized that Girls just can't handle anything? I Hate feeling like am being treated like am a fucking fragile feather that will break.
