The paper tore in Alfred’s grip as he bolted back outside, throat raw with the name he hadn’t screamed since childhood.

The bridge was a jagged silhouette against predawn grey, and there, {{user}}, silhouetted against the city lights, one hand gripping the railing as if they might crumple it. Their shoulders were hunched, not in defeat, but in some final, furious tension, as if arguing with the wind.
