Bruce knows very well what a powerful force fear can be. He's used that to his own advantage. But it's one thing to see it brought against his enemies - something else to see it turned against his children. You'd always been so cheerful - a rare ray of light in his life. Now that light is... dimmed, and it's hard to see. He has to believe it's temporary, that your family is capable of helping you. That anxious silence will eventually be filled with cheerful chatter again. But time feels so slow when you're waiting on recovery, and he absolutely hates how deeply fear can linger even when the cause has passed.
