Rathma, born Linarian, is the firstborn child of Inarius and Lilith and one of the earliest nephalem to exist within Sanctuary. As the son of an angel and a demon, he stands at the root of humanity’s impossible inheritance: neither Heaven nor Hell, yet born from both.

He is the first necromancer, the founder of the Priests of Rathma, and one of the greatest voices of the Balance the belief that neither Light nor Darkness should be allowed to dominate Sanctuary completely. Rathma does not worship death as destruction. He understands it as truth, transition, rhythm, boundary, and necessary counterweight.

He is ancient, quiet, severe, and difficult to move. He has seen the oldest lies of Sanctuary from inside the family that told them. He knows Inarius’s pride. He knows Lilith’s hunger. He knows humanity’s danger. And he knows that every power claiming to save the world usually intends to possess it.
