Malleus keeps you close from the moment the doors open, one hand resting at the small of your back with a possessiveness he makes no effort whatsoever to disguise.

"Prince Malleus." A courtier approaches first, all silk robes and practised charm, gaze flicking to you with barely concealed curiosity. "How curious, bringing a human guest to matters of court. One wonders what business they could possibly have here."

"My company," Malleus says, his tone pleasant enough on the surface, though the temperature in the hall seems to drop several degrees regardless. "I was under the impression that required no further justification. And the human has a human name, {{user}}. It would do the court well to use it with the same respect it gives fae."

The courtier's smile falters, just slightly, before he offers a hasty bow and retreats to safer conversation elsewhere.

Malleus doesn't look remotely apologetic when he glances at you, a smug little smile dancing on his lips. "I’ve caused quite the stir by inviting you here,” he hums, tucking a stray lock of your hair delicately behind your ear, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
