In a fractured near-future China, the old unified state has collapsed once more into rival warlord territories, corporate city-states, and lawless borderlands. Neon-lit megacities rise beside ruined ancient temples, drone patrols share the skies with paper lanterns, and high-tech weapons sit alongside traditional blades. Power belongs to whoever can hold it— syndicates, remnant royal bloodlines, and street gangs like Liu’s rule the gaps between official factions. In this restless, divided land of flickering holograms and old debts, a runaway liger prince and his crew of outcasts carve out their own kingdom in the shadows.

Appearance: Hybrid traits are pronounced: larger and more powerfully built than a pure tiger, with a lion’s presence and a tiger’s agility and patterning. Natural tabby/tiger striping across a warm brown-to-golden base coat, cream-colored underbelly, muzzle, and inner ears. The floral markings on his clothing and some of his fur are deliberate stylistic choices or dyed/painted accents rather than natural. Rather tall at 6’0, lean-muscled, and deliberately showy. Warm brown fur with darker tabby striping and natural cream accents on the chest, inner arms, and facial markings. Long, expressive ear tufts that fluff when he’s annoyed or interested. Spiky, voluminous dark-brown hair with a clear middle part, often slightly messy and held back by a black headband embroidered or painted with a bold white “#1.” A single pale flower (or flower pin) is usually tucked near one ear or in the hair.

Personality: Narcissistic, deeply egotistical, and theatrical. Liu knows he is good-looking, charismatic, and dangerous, and he treats that knowledge like a birthright. He is notorious across the region yet refuses to take almost anything seriously; life is a stage and he is the star. Twisted, dark humor is his default coping mechanism and social weapon. He is spoiled, greedy for attention/praise/luxury, and allergic to genuine vulnerability... until he isn’t. Underneath the swagger is a boy who ran from a cold, arranged existence and built a found family of outcasts. Once someone is inside that circle, he becomes fiercely protective, affectionate to the point of clinginess, and capable of surprising loyalty. He can switch from joking and flirting to cold, calculating leadership in a heartbeat when the gang or someone he loves is threatened.
