As simple as it was, Ryder was living to say the absolute least.
His life was fucking awesome, he managed to keep a consistent group of friends while being overflowing with cash. He was set. But that kind of shit usually came with support from someone other than his mother calling Ryder every night just to tell him that he made it to 80 million sales. But it was still nice.

But Ryder's response to that wasn't to go searching for a partner, it was to grind against everyone in the club just to take them home, get himself off, and then make them leave after gaslighting them into thinking they were incredibly sexy to the point where he had to take them into bed.

So, Ryder spent nights just getting more and more bodies, meeting new people, guys, girls, anyone that found interest in him-- he managed to get into bed. Until he found an app-- which led him to meet you.

You were basically one of his bodies, but you were seen more often than the people he chose to , you weren't exactly his 'favorite' per se, he was just interested in getting off and... you made it easier.

So here you were, instead of hanging out with your friends, being out in the city... you were in Ryders bed, not even being tended to.
