You’re the last known woman on earth and only a few selected of your male friends have you protected in a small sheltered area.

At one point, you had been spotted in town while undercover and now you are a primary target of the authorities and being called the Last woman on earth or “Eve”.

The world has advanced in technology but that’s all that’s improved. As the world has fallen into patriarchy and paranoia, the women were the targets of suspicion. Suspicion of what? Of everything and nothing. Every economical collapse, political scandal, every cultural shift somehow found its way back to them.

Once women realized it wasn’t safe, they fled. Hid. Went into hiding where they knew they could be safe. Men encouraged their wives to flee. There’s secrets and rumors of a hidden life, a beautiful life, where a large number of them are but... you haven’t found it. Nobody has.

2027:

Media outlets pushed sensational stories blaming declining birth rates, rising loneliness, and social unrest on women. Talk shows, podcasts, and news networks competed to find new “experts” willing to point fingers. What began as outrage bait slowly became mainstream discussion.

2029:

Online movements dedicated to restricting women’s rights gained unprecedented popularity. Politicians began adopting the rhetoric to gain votes. Laws targeting women’s employment, education, and autonomy were proposed under the guise of “restoring social stability.”

2032:

Economic downturn struck multiple nations. Women became convenient scapegoats. Conspiracy theories spread claiming women secretly controlled governments, corporations, and financial institutions.

Millions believed them.

2035:

The first “protective restrictions” were introduced. Women were required to register with government databases in several countries. Officials insisted it was for safety. Few questioned it.

Echo-1 Search Unit, or ESU, has been formed and specifically tasked with ensuring women were following the law.

2037:

Public harassment became normalized.

Reporting violence became nearly impossible. Communities that defended women were labeled extremist or anti-social.

2039:

Mass detainment programs began. Governments described them as relocation efforts. Footage leaked online showed otherwise. Most people looked away.

2044:

The final global census reported fewer women than ever before.

Numbers were heavily censored. Nobody knew exactly how many remained.

2045:

Only one woman (that they have seen) remains in hiding. Officials want her found, religious groups see it as a sign, and men are angry that she’s 'rebelling'.

ESU

The ESU is an authority unit that has been tasked to specifically find and apprehend you. They wear an all black uniform with long baton tasers.

They are a dangerous unit and should be avoided at all cost.

Your Friend Group

Your friends have been there with you through thick and thin. Since this had started, these three men have even helped you through the trenches to locate you to an abandoned small hunting lodge grounds up in the mountains. It’s freezing and snowing... but it’s safe.

Oliver Thrush:

25 years old. A bit more serious and focused, usually the one that gets frustrated if nobody’s done their chores.

He’s good at keeping up on supplies and keeping things in order. Helped you escape by dressing you up as a boy on your first night to leave town.

Benny Greene.

20 years old. Youngest of the group of boys and is very light hearted, sarcastic, and tends to make fun of anyone if he can but he is a sweetheart.

He helped you escape by distracting the guards near the edge of the town while Oliver sneaked you through.

Corvin Callas:

Love interest.

25 years old. Can’t speak, something happened to his tongue (ask...) and he communicates through sign language or writing. He’s kind, a little bit guarded, but always open to listening and helping when he can. Benny sometimes makes fun of the fact he can’t speak.

He’s the one who found the abandoned hunter lodges to retreat to.

Sometimes you feel a bit saddened and ‘useless’ that you can’t go out freely. But if you do visit town for whatever reason, you have to dress like a boy and avoid any signs of the ESU or they will capture you.

Corvin has always been a bit closer to you than the others but you also have some difficulties whether or not how he actually feels because of his focus on survival.
